Enjoy the little things...

Something I've noticed lately is that people are really stressed out right now in this day and age. Whether it's stress coming from friends, family, co-workers, or even money. We all need to learn to let go. Don't stress over things that are out of your control. For example...if I'm late on my car payment and I've tried EVERYTHING I can to make that payment and I just cant do it. That's right about the time that I just let it roll off my shoulders. At this point I know I've tried everything in my power to make that payment and still had no luck. So let it go. You stressing about how your gonna make that car payment or who you can borrow the money from is not gonna drop a basket full of money into your lap. So let it go and deal with it the best you can.(within your means)
Stress is a killer...it kills people everyday and doesn't need to take a day off or even a vacation for that matter. Don't let it get the best of you. Learn to enjoy the little things. The things that you normally take advantage of. When's the last time that you really watched the sunset and enjoyed its peacefulness and serenity? When's the last time you sat at the ocean and listened to the waves crashing against the shore? When's the last time you took a walk through the woods and just took in and enjoyed everything mother nature has to offer? If you cant remember the last time you've done any of the above, then you need to stop right now and go out and find something to enjoy. Go walk along the beach...go walk through the woods...if you live in the city, well you have two options. Find a place where you can just sit and observe the city life around you. Like a coffee shop, or outside a smoothie shop. Just sit there and watch the world happen around you. Or if you have the access...find a rooftop. From there you can watch the whole hustle and bustle without actually being in it, but your actually right in the middle of it. Just take a deep breath in and enjoy the day. Or if you are not in the city or in the mountains or by the ocean. Just go outside and start walking...who knows where your going or where you're gonna end up, that's the beauty of it. If you can, bring some music to listen to, that's what I do. It's really relaxing and it keeps your head outta the stress cloud. Music is everyone's passion. So on that note...go grab your Ipod or MP3 player, turn this off (cause my blog will still be here when you get back) and go see what you can get into. Just start walking...who knows where mother nature will take ya. Only time will tell...

I'm not the one...

I hate it when people try to act like someone their not when someone else (like a supervisor) is around. It's funny to watch. They start acting all polite and professional when their "really" not. They start barking orders at people that are already "holding it down" so to speak, doing their job. Unlike some people...I really wanna mention, but I wont. Don't worry about me...I'm taking care of my shit. At the same time I do understand that they have to make sure every one is doing their "job". If your gonna do that when a supervisor is in the building, how hard is it to just do that all the time. We have to hold people accountable. Accountable for what? For whatever that particular jobs requires you to do when and if they hire you. Every job in the world has some level of things that they expect you to do when they hire you. So all I'm saying is just do your job! Do what they hired or promoted you to do. That would make everyone's day SO much easier. An old manager once told me..."you are who you are when no ones looking" meaning if your at work and your suppose to be sweeping, but your standing there talking your ass off. Then when you notice your manager coming you immediately stop talking and start sweeping...as if they didn't see that. C'mon that just means your a slacker. Now on the flip side, lets say your supervisor walks up on you and sees you sweeping your area without anyone telling you or surprising you by coming around the corner. And you don't even know your manager is watching, and your diligently working your butt off. That's because you're one of those people with really good work skills/ethics. If your a slacker it'll show in your work ethic. If your a perfectionist or just someone with good work ethics that will also show in your work. So before you get on me for doing my job and then some...make sure your getting on me for the right reasons. Cause I'm not the one....
